Dr. Daniel Chong - Holistic Heart Doctor

Raised under the balmy skies of Hawaii, my upbringing ingrained in me the importance of healthy living and a deep reverence for nature. As I grew older, I came to realize that such a lifestyle was crucial to sustain health and vitality into our advanced years.

Not just for me, but for everyone around me. This sparked a desire within me to guide others on the path to wellness.

This passion led me to the study of naturopathic medicine. I completed my ND in Portland, OR, in 2000, paving the way for my journey as a licensed physician.

I dedicated my practice to using natural remedies and approaches, driven by my desire to help patients achieve and maintain their peak health.

As time passed, I observed a disappointing stagnation in the conventional approach to healthcare in our country, particularly in cardiovascular disease.

The lack of effort in addressing the root causes of this prevalent issue, which significantly affects numerous lives, fuels my determination to continuously learn and discover better ways to assist my patients in their pursuit of health.

In remaining true to my foundational principles, my passion for health only intensifies as I further define my niche.

Trainings & Further Certifications

I have since acquired certificate training in cardiometabolic medicine under the guidance of Dr. Mark Houston and Dr. Joel Kahn at the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Advanced Cardiovascular Risk Assessment through the S.H.A.P.E. Society and with Drs. Brad Bale and Amy Doneen, and recently in Clinical Lipidology via the European Atherosclerosis Society.

Additionally, I served as a clinical consultant with Boston Heart Diagnostics Lab for four years and currently hold a role as a contributing editor in cardiology for The Natural Medicine Journal.

I see myself primarily as a 'nutrition and lifestyle-focused lipidologist' and a 'cardiovascular health guide,' rather than just a conventional doctor, or even a naturopath.

In essence, my goal is to fuse the worlds of lifestyle medicine and preventive cardiology/clinical lipidology into a singular, cohesive approach that best aligns with your specific goals and needs, regardless of your current cardiovascular health state.

My method at Vital Human enables me to do my utmost to help you reach your fullest health potential. In essence, I'm here to provide the tools, guidance, and education required to maximize your chances at achieving optimal cardiovascular health.

Thank you for taking part in this journey to wellness.
